I am enamored by duct tape and glow in the dark. The 4 astronomical images below are all constructed of mosaic cut duct tape. Individual pieces of tape vary between 1/4″ at the largest and 1/32″ of an inch at the smallest. The top image, the Pulsar is composed of somewhere between 12,000 and 15,000 individual pixels of tape. In general, with the size of the pieces and the application process, I can get between 80 and 240 pieces of duct tape per square inch. It is time consuming, but meditative and fun!
